The Right Source, Entry for October 02, 2008

To write the current essay for the web page, I discovered I needed to review some historic facts. There wasn't the kind of quick reference I need in my section of history books. I did have an option, I'd purchased William Sullivan's "Hiking Oregon's History" as a Christmas gift for my oldest son.

Perfect.

Right away I ran into problems. Not being an avid hiker, I hadn't read the book myself. The history and stories were so interesting, it took a couple of extra days to get back to working on the essay. A good read in addition to being a good reference for either hiking or history.
